Dear Warrior's Wish,

Hello, I am Tom Crighton and I am a Veteran of the Army. I served 12 years and I served 2 tours in Vietnam. I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world and we have 4 children. My three oldest live in various corners of the country and my youngest, 23 year old Kelsey is getting married in November to a fine young Marine named Jacob.

This year, on the Monday after Easter Sunday, my doctor sent me for some tests, I knew it wasn't going to be good. I have a tumor in my head that is called a Glioblastoma. It is not something that can be operated on because they say it has "involved" my brain stem. The oncologists have all said that I probably will not live past Christmas this year. I told them, "I'm a Combat Veteran. I will see New Years!" My wife and I were married in Time Square, NY on New Year's Eve, 1972. I shipped out to Vietnam 3 days later. So on New Year's Eve this year, Colleen and I will be married 40 years. I promised her that I will kiss her on the mouth when the Ball Drops!

My wish is for a second honeymoon with my bride in New York City this coming New Year's Eve. I promised my wife we will be there and I have never broken a promise to her. Can you help me keep my promise?

In the event that funds are donated in excess of a wish maker's forcasted budget, the funds will be transferred to the general fund and applied toward other wishes and operating expenses.
